The outer shell is made from a two-layer bonded fabric which is tough enough to withstand long term use on the bank and anything you might reasonably encounter whilst wearing it, without easily tearing or snagging.

The Thermolite Puffer Jacket is also highly water resistant, due to the outer material having a 3K hydrostatic head and a DWR (durable water repellent) coating, which is unique to this jacket and an industry first. As well as being water resistant, it is also windproof to help keep you warm when exposed to the elements, and that is enhanced by a longer than usual back, which helps prevent draughts and stops the jacket riding up above the top of your trousers when you sit down. A snug-fitting hood, which comes up from around your neck, also helps to prevent any cold air getting inside the jacket, as well as keeping your head warm and dry.
